Unique House with garden design makes dramatic changes and additions to what was originally a speculative ‘ cookie cutter ‘ style home in larger development on either side of the Park a fantastic location in Brisbane’s city centre. This Park House by Shaun Lockyer Architects project was completed in April 2012. Home Park this involved significant qualitative upgrade with bespoke hardwood joinery, marble accents and beautiful park perimeter to enhance enjoyment and experience the new space.
Park House explores the two key areas of reprogramming, especially related to the life and lifestyle. This addition is given the opportunity to introduce a number of voids and volumetric device that links different levels and create a sense of drama. Park House using the device also allowed for light to penetrate deep into the living space. The changed first and foremost is the kitchen/living/dining has been re-designed to optimise indoor/outdoor living experience. The second (and perhaps more dramatic) area involved the addition of ‘ Park ‘ space above the living area there is a symbolic best subtropical indoor/outdoor living.
